Fred Campbell played both nylon string guitar and electric bass in this arrangement. Originally I had recorded the steel part mostly at the 14th and 17th frets. Playing around with it late one night, I realized that the entire melody could be played with harmonics at the 7th and 12th frets. The result is this soft, harp-like tone, played with the index finger instead of the steel bar.
