In the 1980's, Scott Gerber formed a band named Cowboy Country. They mostly played honky tonks in Sonoma County, California. The band broke up after about 5 years.

In February 2010, the 3 principal players from the original band got together for a living room jam session. They hadn't played together in over 20 years, but they remembered a lot of the old songs. Pedal steel guitarist Bobby Lee had set up a "fly on the wall" microphone in the room. This album is the result.
